SAMOSAS (Regular or Cocktail)

Samosas originated from the Middle East, and during the course of time, have become available all over the world.

Samosas are one of the most treasured appetizers of all snacks, primarily because of its taste and the time involved in making such a devouring snack. Samosas are a pyramid shaped pastry filled with beef, chicken, vegetables or any other similar fillings. They can be enjoyed as hor d'oeuvres, snacks or even as a main meal and complements any occasion.

Samosas can be served with a variety of chutneys, lemon wedges, ketchup , plum sauce or our very own Serenna'sTM Tamarind Sauce.

Preparation method:

Oven / Toaster Oven

Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Spread frozen samosas on a lightly greased pan. Brush or spray samosas lightly with vegetable oil. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Deep Frying

Preheat fryer to 200 °C (400 °F) lightly fry frozen samosas for 7 - 10 minutes or until lightly golden crisp. Drain excess oil on towel.

PUNJABI STYLE SAMOSAS (Regular or Cocktail)

Serenna'sTM PUNJABI STYLE SAMOSAS available with

(Regular or Cocktail).



Preparation method:

Oven / Toaster Oven

Preheat oven to 175 °C (375 °F). Pour 2-3 Tbls. of olive or vegetable oil into a bowl, toss the frozen samosas, like you would a salad, in oil to coat. Let stand for 5 - 10 minutes. Spread the samosas on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes until slightly golden brown.

Tip: To achieve a consistent golden brown colour, omit tossing the samosas in oil. Instead, brush samosas with a well beaten egg and bake on a lightly greased pan or cookie sheet.

Not recommended for microwave cooking. Serve with Serenna'sTM Tamarind sauce, lemon wedges or your favourite chutney.

Deep Frying

Preheat fryer to 190 °C (350 °F). Lightly deep fry frozen samosas for 5 - 7 minutes or until golden crisp. Drain excess oil on towel. Serve with Serenna'sTM Tamarind sauce, lemon wedges or your favourite chutney.

STORAGE

Samosa must be kept frozen at all times. Do not refreeze. Thawed product should be cooked immediately. Always store frozen samosas in freezer bags to maintain freshness and quality.
