Tamarind is a fruit native to tropical Africa which has a pleasing sweet/sour flavour and is rich in Vitamin B and calcium. Tamarind is highly valued in tropical regions as a flavouring for chutneys, drinks and candy. Serenna' s tamarind sauce is ideal served with Serenna's^TM samosas . It will also add excitement to meat, fish and favourite foods like chicken fingers, spring rolls, french fries, stir fries and curries.

In a large saucepan, add 1 lb.(.45 kg) boneless, cubed chicken breast, 1 cup (or more) hot water and a pinch of orange food color (optional) to 1 cup (250g) of paste. Cook over medium heat for approximately 3-5 minutes or until chicken is almost done. Then, add 1/2 cup whipping cream and cook for another 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. Garnish with cilantro or parsley and serve hot with rice or Serenna's^TM whole wheat roti.

Refrigerate after opening. Use within 10 days after opening.
